Dionaea Muscipula "Typical"

Venus Flytrap is a temperate bulb that prefers to live its best bog life outside. Venus flytrap is not suitable for terrariums as they need a winter dormant cycle and they have long roots that like to stretch down wards. It is important to use a nutrient free soil with VFT such as 50/50 peat/Perlite or long fibred spagnum along with mineral and chlorine free water. To over winter Venus flytrap bring indoors and keep moist at around 1-10 degrees Celsius. You can put the flytraps back outside once it has warmed up to over 10 degrees during the day and 5 degrees at night.
